Building together
Projects
How owners and council are looking after the village’s shared infrastructure.
Water system
Toward safe, treated drinking water
In 2011, council started a project to bring the Queest water system fully in line with BC regulations for drinking water. Work to choose and install a water treatment system is under way, with the goal of lifting the Boil Water Advisory (originally targeted for November 2016).
Until then, please remind your guests that Queest water is untreated and may contain organisms that cause illness.

Docks
Rebuilding the docks
The village docks were rebuilt in sections, with new frames and floats, pilings driven for the walkway, and finished sections launched and towed into place. Some old tires went in for extra flotation, too. Dock matters are led by the dock committee (Doug Olechow, director).

Lend a hand
Queest Village runs on volunteers, and your help at work bees, formal or informal, is always appreciated. There’s plenty to do. Talk to your neighbours about village projects, check this website, and talk to council members.
This year’s Work Bee Coordinator: Donna Engel, council secretary.
