Our community
A fun, safe place for family, friends and nature
Vision
To foster, maintain, and develop a desirable lakeside recreational family community for the current and future benefit of owners, owners’ families, friends and guests, the community and the area.
Mission
Responsible, owner-led stewardship
Effective, well-communicated, responsible leadership and management of Queest Village Strata Plan K611, in pursuit of our vision.
These statements were written by the Queest Village Strata Council so that every owner knows how council thinks, and so owners can tell council what they think in return.
Guiding principles & values
What we stand for
Sense of community
Mutual respect, consideration of others, community spirit, and pride in ownership.
Safety & security
A fun, safe place for family, friends, nature and many kinds of recreation.
Leadership by example
Council members take part in meetings and follow through on the work all year.
Open communication
Straightforward and effective communication between all owners and council.
Owner volunteerism
Volunteering is how we prefer to run the village. Every hand is needed and welcome, coordinated through our owner-managed council.
Good-faith decisions
Decisions are made in good faith and with good judgment, on behalf of all owners.
Plan ahead, fund responsibly
Proactive planning and financially responsible funding: decisions made for today and tomorrow.
Care for what we share
We maintain, repair and replace the road, water system, docks, parks and common areas before problems grow, in a basic, reasonable and compliant way.
Owners first
We hire contractors where needed and prudent, and give priority to owners who are interested, capable and qualified.
Respect for knowledge
We value and appreciate what each owner knows, has experienced and contributes.
Compliance
We work with the Strata Property Act and the authorities that govern us.
Keep it simple
Our lives are complex. Most of us see Queest Village as a retreat.

Get involved
Queest runs on volunteers
Every owner has a part to play. Big projects that take years and small jobs on a Saturday morning all add up, and that’s a big part of what makes Queest so great.
- Come to the Annual General Meeting and take part wherever you can.
- Join a work bee. Formal or informal, every bit helps.
- Keep council informed. Talk to us at the AGM, by phone, at a fireside chat, or through this website.
