Boil Water Advisory

The water supplied by the Queest water system is non-disinfected, non-treated surface water. The water is non-potable without further treatment. A Boil Water Advisory has been issued.
Until further notice we recommended that consumers:
    - Boiling the water at a rapid boil for at least 1 minute, or
    - Use an approved alternate source of potable water
for the purposes of consumption, food preparation and dental hygiene.

Lot owners must note that the water is non-potable and that the cartridge filters at service connections are not adequate treatment to protect against disease causing bacteria and parasites.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT

Plans for water system
Your council initiated a project in 2011 to address the Queest water system and to be fully in compliance with BC regulations for potable water supply.  See the Projects page for updated information.  Until a new system is in place lot owners are reminded of the boil water notice and to ensure guests are also aware.
